چکیده

Abstract In the present work, we propose a generalization of confidence polytopes approach for quantum state tomography (QST) to case process (QPT). Our allows obtaining region in polytope form Choi matrix an unknown channel based on measurement results corresponding QPT experiment. The method uses improved version expression levels several positive operator-valued measures. We then demonstrate how can be employed calculating intervals affine functions states (Choi matrices), such as fidelities and observables mean values, which are used both QST settings. As propose, this problem efficiently solved using linear programming tools. also study performance scalability developed basis simulation experimental data collected IBM cloud processor.

Quantum teleportation with atoms: quantum process tomography

The performance of a quantum teleportation algorithm implemented on an ion trap quantum computer is investigated. First the algorithm is analyzed in terms of the teleportation fidelity of six input states evenly distributed over the Bloch sphere. Furthermore, a quantum process tomography of the teleportation algorithm is carried out which provides almost complete knowledge about the algorithm.

Ancilla-assisted quantum process tomography.

Complete and precise characterization of a quantum dynamical process can be achieved via the method of quantum process tomography. Using a source of correlated photons, we have implemented several methods, each investigating a wide range of processes, e.g., unitary, decohering, and polarizing. One of these methods, ancilla-assisted process tomography (AAPT), makes use of an additional "ancilla ...

Quantum process tomography with coherent states

We have developed an enhanced technique for characterizing quantum optical processes based on probing unknown quantum processes only with coherent states. Our method substantially improves the original proposal (Lobino et al 2008 Science 322 563), which uses a filtered Glauber–Sudarshan decomposition to determine the effect of the process on an arbitrary state. We introduce a new relation betwe...

Error matrices in quantum process tomography

We discuss characterization of experimental quantum gates by the error matrix, which is similar to the standard process matrix χ in the Pauli basis, except the desired unitary operation is factored out, by formally placing it either before or after the error process. The error matrix has only one large element, which is equal to the process fidelity, while other elements are small and indicate ...
